C. Allen Olson has over 30 years of U. S. Federal Acquisition System Experience.

Prior to retiring from Federal service in January 2003, Mr. Olson was the Assistant Commissioner for Acquisition at the Federal Technology Service, General Services Administration. His organization was responsible for supporting the award and administration of the current FTS2001 Contracts (which provide government-wide long distance telecommunications services), the Metropolitan Area Acquisition Contracts (which were competitively awarded for government-wide local telecommunications services in large metropolitan cities), and various other technology service contracts.

In 1995, Mr. Olson served as the Director of GSA's Office of Federal Acquisition Policy, and as the Chairperson of the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council. That organization contributed significantly to the timely promulgation of FAR Rules implementing the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act.

Mr. Olson has served at the executive level since 1986 when he was appointed the Assistant Commissioner of GSA's Office of Information Resources Procurement where he directed the development, implementation and evaluation of all information resources purchasing and contracting programs within GSA.

In addition to his normal job functions, Mr. Olson has assisted the State Department and the U. S. Trade Representative in negotiations with the governments of Canada and Japan on various trade issues.

Mr. Olson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
